OUR DEBUT FUNDRAISING EVENT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!
Thank you to everyone who was a part of our first annual Ryan’s Rays Fundraiser! We had such a wonderful night remembering our little sunshine, Ryan. We enjoyed sharing with you Christian Horizons’ heart for embracing and celebrating the value of all people and introducing you to Asella and Robe, Ethiopia – the beneficiaries of your generous donations.
The New Revolutions Choir kicked off an incredible evening which featured a live and silent auction featuring donated items from over 200 businesses and individuals.
“We are so blessed and honoured to be part of this event,” said Janet Noel-Annabel, CEO of Christian Horizons. “The sunshine that Ryan loved and carried with him is felt here, and on the other side of the world at Horizons Academy in Asella.”
Words cannot express our gratitude to everyone who came out for the evening, as well as the over 200 businesses and individuals that contributed to our auction. As a result of your generousity, we have raised over $50,000, the entirety of which will be used to improve Inclusive Education in Ethiopia. Plans to build, renovate, expand and equip inclusive education classrooms in Ethiopia are already underway.
Special recognition to St. Joachim Catholic School in Ancaster for your amazing fundraising efforts and the beautiful way you continue to honour Ryan’s memory. He was so blessed to be part of such an amazing school.
Of course, the evening would not have been possible without the work of the many volunteers who graciously contributed their time and energy to make this event a success. Thank you for being such an integral part of Ryan’s Rays.
